WHICH WAY WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
SUPERHERO OR SUPER VILLAIN?

CREATE A SUPERHERO OR SUPER-VILLAIN PROJECT!

Using the elements of a short story, we are creating a superhero or super-villains and writing a story line. Girls are in groups and will come up with a story line to include all the characters within their group whether they are all heroes or villains. We will begin posting group characters profiles soon and let you be the judge of the best story line.

During the last few weeks of the 1st Quarter, our leadership class became more virtual. We have created a Google classroom for P.E./Leadership and were able to complete and turn in our first virtual assignment, the 1st Qtr P.E./Leadership Study Guide. The students were able to complete the study guide online using previous quizzes and power points and notes. This made each one able to access their study guide from anywhere all by logging into their alimancrescent.org emails and finding the document in the Drive App. All the students completed their end of quarter performance assessments from our soccer unit and did well on the final exam for a combined score, ending 1st quarter with a BANG!

We introduced the students to Fuel Up to Play60, advocating getting active and getting healthy. During the 2nd Qtr the students will choose begin working and choosing a campaign to begin our Play60 journey!

    2nd Quarter Leadership Agenda

11/27 – 12/11 …………… Habit#3 Put First Things First-Prioritize, and do the most important things first. Have Self-Restraint and Be God Conscious. Say What is Good.

    What Is Bullying?

Bullying is a very serious thing among peers and can have a lasting affect on ones mental and physical state of being. We viewed a re-enactment of events that took place when a teenage boy decided to end his life as a result of being bullied. No one should have to endure this kind of treatment. The resource used for this lesson was from Islamic Network Group (ING) and it discusses bullying from an Islamic perspective since Muslims are being targeted at times. Below is the link for more information.
