Happy last week of school!
This is our last week of school. We’ll start back on Tuesday after a relaxing three-day weekend thanks to Memorial Day. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will all be half days due to Ramadan. Students will arrive at 8:55 a.m. and dismissal will begin at 3 p.m. Friday will be the last day of school and will operate on a normal schedule. On Thursday 6th and 7th grade students will have their award ceremonies and we’ll end the day with the 8th grade’s graduation.

I hope everyone has a wonderful summer. I’ll see you all in August
There are 8 days of school left!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This week is our last full week of school and it’s full of fun activities. Monday and Tuesday are our final days of MAP testing. On Monday, students will take their reading MAP test and on Tuesday they will take their math MAP test.
Wednesday is career day. I’ve got 10 really fantastic people coming to talk about careers from professional basketball players, to designers and cartoonists. That evening after school will be Al-Iman first ever Unity Day. Both NJHS and Student Council will both participate and help run the event.
Thursday is field day and an early release day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoyed their three-day weekend.
This week we’ve got a number of diagnostics going on. Tuesday is MAP-Langauge Usage, Wednesday is MAP-Science, Thursday is our Social Studies Diagnostic and Friday is the Math EOC. This means the week is both busy and exhausting. I know that the students are getting tried but we’re incredibly close to the end—don’t give up!
Friday is the last day to bring in canned food for our Ramadan food drive.
6th graders should bring in canned veggies
7th graders should bring in canned fruits
8th graders should bring in canned chickpeas
It’s that time again—Monday! There are only 18 days of school left.
Here’s a run-down of what’s going on:
- This Friday is the 8th grade’s end-of-year trip to Bush Gardens.
- We are collecting can goods for the new families in the area for Ramadan. Each grade is bringing in different items: 6th- canned vegetables, 7th- canned fruit & 8th- canned chickpeas
- This week things get real with EOCs. Here is the May schedule I shared with everyone on Remind:
