Being thankful means being grateful for what you have. Allah (SAW) has given us many things to be thankful for such as shelter, parents, food, etc. One way of being thankful to Allah is praying. Allah has given us so many things and to pray is the least we can do for Allah. You also should help people out. They in turn will be thankful to you.You can place yourself in a better mood by being thankful. You will find you are in a much more optimistic state after you’ve spent a few minutes reflecting about your blessings and feeling grateful for them. Compassion and kindness will probably fill your heart.

I am very thankful for being a muslim (Allhamdurellah). Bieng a muslim is the best thing you could ever imagine. When your earning for something and you say you don’t have anything tell yourself you have something better than Bill Gates, Steve Jobs or other billionaires. You have ISLAM. $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,00,000,000,000 is nothing to the price of Islam. You might think that billionaires are happy and have everything they want, thats not true. They know they fell somethings missing missing in there heart. Which is Islam. Thankfulness can actually save your life in many ways. One way is that the 3 years before the Al-Masseh Ad Dajjal will come to us will be poverty. The first year the rain will only give the world 2/3 of it. The vegetation will only give us 2/3 of it. On the second year 1/3 of rain will come and the vegetation will only give us 1/3 of it. On the third year will have nothing. The only thing that will keep us alive is saying Laeelahialah/Allahmdurellah (Thankfulness)/Allahukbar. These three things will come. Some time Allah(STW) will give us a test, and see what we will say. For example you studied really hard on a test, but when the test came Allah (STW) will let you have a bad grade. Will you say Allahmduellah (have thankfulness) or wine and say ‘why did Allah (STW) give me this grade. It happens and be careful. Remember thankfulness saves and helps our lives but not every one knows it. Thankfullness is the secret of life.

Being thankful means to appreciate what you have. As Muslims, we should all be thankful for everything Allah (saw) has given us because some people don’t even have half the stuff we have. I am thankful for my health, a roof over my head day&night, being Muslim, and my parents. A way to give gratitude for everything you have is simply by saying “Al-Hamdulillah.” A lot of people seem to be unthankful because they look at other peoples happiness&rewards and compare themselves. Never compare your self to anyone or you will never be satisfied. But by being an Optimist, life will always give you pleasure and then you will be thankful for even the littlest things Allah grants you with. :)

To be thankful you have to appreciate what you have. Allah has put us on this earth and given us everything. He has given us food, water, shelter, a family, and we are muslims. And the only thing he asks for in return is to obey and worship him. There are so many people that don’t have that many things and they show their appreciation more than we do. I am thankful for everything because i could have asked for more than this! We should show our appreciation by always remembering Allah and not to forget our prayers. Everyday we should think about the people all over the world and that some of them don’t have all the stuff we have. Allhamdullilah for all of the things that allah has given us.

  7. Dana Afifi says:

Being thankful is not always looking on people who are above and compare our selves to them and what they have and what you don’t. I am thankful for my home, food, family, and fiends. even for the simplest things that we would normally forget to thank Allah for. hands, feet, legs and being able to use our minds. some people forget that not every one has these things. some people starve, don’t have a home, are alone, cant walk, and need assistance in life. we forget of whats important and look at all the silly things in life that we “think” we need. when we honestly have all we need , and that’s what means to me to be thankful.

    Character of the month: Thankfulness
Once, my family and i went to New York, and we went to visit Manhattan on Eid. As we were walking down the street, there was an old woman with a curved back, no teeth, and blind in one eye. I could tell that she was Muslim too, because she was wearing a scarf. Just looking at her made me want to cry, and she had a cane and a cup in her hand, and i felt so sorry for her. I told my dad, and he gave me 20 dollars to give to her, and a i gave it to her she looked up at me and said thank you with a heavy accent that i couldn’t make out. Then i thought maybe it was her loss of teeth that made her sound that way. i wasn’t sure, and i was still thinking about it when she said to me Eid Mubarak. I was kind of surprised, even though i knew she was Muslim. I said it back to her and left, wishing i could do something more. When we went home i as still thinking about her. My parents always told me to be thankful for everything i have, because there’s millions of people in other countries and even in America without homes and jobs and money. I’ve never seen it, but i always thought i already knew it all, just because I’ve heard of it so many times. Just thinking about that woman made me so sad, and i understood what i needed to be thankful for so much better from that moment. :)

I am thankful for a lot of things in my life. But the most things I am thankful for is being a Muslim, having parents and a family, food, water, and a place to live. Being a Muslim is probably the most important because this life is short and the hereafter is forever. I’m proud and thankful for being a Muslim because it will help me in the hereafter. InshAllah, Allah will grant us all Jannah.

  10. Yasmin Abusalah says:

I am thankful for all my teachers, Islam, family, friends, relatives, and many other things. Many people don’t have what we have. The last we could do to thank Allah is to pray and obey him. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else who is rich and has a phone and all that stuff. The words you say that your friends have stuff that you don’t have and you start whining because you want it is just a lot of trash. Whatever you say and do in this life, you will be held accountable for it in the hereafter. Be thankful for whatever you have and try to help others with what you have and that will get you to Jannah. Thankfulness is the secret to this life.
