About Me!
My name is Madiha Siddiqui and professionally I am an Early Childhood Educator. I have been teaching young children for more than a decade at various private schools in the Bay Area, California. I started my teaching career as a Preschool Teacher at a small homeschooling coop when my son started preschool. My experience there inspired me to go back to school to earn an Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood and Education from Chabot College. My educational journey continued toward attaining a Bachelor's in Human Development with a concentration in Adolescence from Cal State East Bay.
I am an advocate for developmentally appropriate practices that are driven primarily by children's natural curiosities and an experiential learning process. My philosophy is deeply rooted in nurturing the whole child where activities are designed to nurture growth in six main developmental domains. These mainly include self-development in areas of spirituality, social-emotional intelligence, creativity, cognitive, language, and physical development.
I love to meet new people and am happy to learn about different cultures. I further strive for an inclusive, anti-bias, and welcome-all approach in everything I do. I value forming good relationships as they are brick and mortar to a healthy community and society. I am a firm believer in keeping open communication, and always encourage constructive feedback from my students, colleagues, and parents alike. I am grateful for the opportunity to begin teaching at Al-Iman School and am looking forward to serving the community here.
